Trypsin 0.05% EDTA 1X in PBS w/o Calcium w/o Magnesium w/o Phenol Red

Trypsin 0.05% EDTA 1X in PBS w/o Calcium w/o Magnesium w/o Phenol Red

Trypsin-EDTA 1X in PBS without Calcium, without Magnesium, and without Phenol Red is a specialized solution commonly used in cell culture applications for dissociating adherent cells from the culture vessel. This solution contains trypsin and EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) without calcium, magnesium, or phenol red.

The absence of calcium and magnesium helps to minimize cell clumping and maintain cell viability during the dissociation process. Phenol red, a pH indicator, is excluded to facilitate sensitive cell-based assays that require precise pH control.

This optimized trypsin-EDTA solution ensures efficient and gentle detachment of cells from the culture substrate, preserving cell integrity and viability for downstream applications such as cell counting, cell sorting, and cell culture maintenance. It is ideal for use in sensitive cell-based assays and experiments where the presence of calcium, magnesium, or phenol red may interfere with experimental outcomes.
